Another great essay and I couldn't agree more. Is everyone really so sensitive? I live in the real world and have never had anyone ask me a pronoun or ask me to use one for them. We go to church, volunteer, shop and work. However, I know that colleges and other places are adapting to this insanity. When I went to St. Jerome's back in the day, the nuns would have NONE of this! It was grammar all the way and penmanship too.
So, they (what does 'they" mean these days?) don't respect the English language. I am offended. Where will "their" next fabricated generator of offence be found? Spanish? El, los. la and las no longer working for the confused and narcissistic? Will it now be ex dia, or lxs semanas? Then will German fall? Do we add to der and die duh?
