RE the money thing: I can't believe this is not treated as elective surgery, like liposuction. That taxpayers and insurance premium payers pay for this is beyond belief.
The fact that some people have been doing this for decades shows there’s something real there, that we can’t deny. Thailand openly accepts men who are trans and it’s very common there but of course these trans are mostly prostitutes. That isn’t discussed so much. The spike is what you are talking about- a mass hysteria or a mind virus. There’s also the rising body of evidence of those who regret it that always needs to be discussed.
I think we should feel sorry for those who feel trapped either as a result of sexual abuse or some other psychological or biological issue. But the real problem right now- and Chris rufo has been amazing bringing it to light- is this crazy push to indoctrinate an entire generation. They make false claims that trans is like being lefty and once unsuppressed millions will choose their true selves. I do Think it’s a fad. Even gay marriage seems like something that spiked but seems to have remained limited to minority of gays. I could Be wrong there.
One last thought- while most alternative lifestyle folks won’t be trans the Overton Window has been pushed so far that it could very well have the effect of making far more young people adopt homosexual/bisexual identities. We know cultures can shape choices - whether Afghanistan or Greece sex with boys became socially acceptable. And in prisons, heterosexual men/women trapped with long sentences are known to engage in gay sex acts. So there is a push to make our culture as a whole more gay and that is happening to some extent. Scary stuff.
Right. But it's big money and lifelong dependency on drugs for the pharmaceutical industry. And as we all know too many of those people have no moral compass.
